A CHARITABLE organisation focussed on the education of Fiji's impoverished regardless of race, colour or religion, has touched the lives of 1500 students in 48 schools.
Yadeein Vision's helping hand has also extended to communities and religious organisations.
Founder and director Fiji-born Bobby Singh Mishra said they gave generators, water tanks, school books and stationery for the past nine years they had been in Fiji.
Mr Mishra said they were helping schools in Labasa, Rakiraki, Tavua, Ba, Lautoka and Nadi.
He said the group was made up of donors from Australia, New Zealand, the US and Canada had been raising funds to assist the needy in Fiji.
He said he formed the group after he realised that there were people in Fiji who desperately needed help. With a vision to make a change, Mr Mishra said he decided to come back home and lend a hand.
"I know I won't change the world but I will make a ripple," he said.
The Australia citizen said it was always satisfying to see the smile of those they helped.
Yesterday, the organisation had its annual general meeting in Nadi and donated two generators worth $3500 each to Vunikavikaloa Arya School and Dobuilevu Muslim School in Ra.
Dr Jiko Luveni who is in charge of the Social Welfare Department, said it was encouraging to know there were charitable organisations such as Yadeein Vision, to help the poor in the community.
"This is the first time I am meeting them to know about their help, especially to schools," she said.
