SODELPA releases candidates' names for 2018 elections

Update: 3:27PM THE Social Democratic Liberal Party (SODELPA) has announced its first group of candidates for the 2018 general elections.

Party president Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu had urged the members to work together "as we soldier in this journey of ours in the united front, a front that is accepting what we are and who we are".

The party also appointed three of its vice presidents: Vijay Singh, Ro Dona Takalaiyale, and Anare Jale.

More than 150 people were present this morning during the party's special meeting of the general assembly at the Fijian Teachers Association (FTA) HQ in Suva.
